Why this exists
Why Now? was built because it was needed — and nothing like it existed. After years of dealing with compulsive adult content use, unmanaged bipolar disorder, and substance abuse, counseling introduced a set of tools that actually worked: urge surfing, delay timers, trigger journaling, dopamine resets.
The problem was that no good digital home for these tools existed. The apps that did exist required accounts (a privacy risk for something this personal), cost money, or buried the useful features under gamification. So this was built — free, private, and without ulterior motive.
Every data point stays on your device. No one ever sees what you write.
